After Paris’ flood, is it still interesting to visit Venice?

Won’t it be too touristic, like some sort of Disneyworld?

After the first couple of minutes out of the plane, I knew the answers to those questions where yes and no. There’s no picture here for my camera was far down in my bag, so just imagine:

Arrival at 11P.M.

Looking for a water bus. Next one is leaving in 40 minutes plus the traveling time : no way to get to the hotel before 12A.M.

Ok, let’s take a taxi boat and share it with other travelers!

Already, it’s like a James Bond movie : the small boat speeding through the lagoon. Although, it’s night time so you can’t see the buildings and islands around. Just a bunch of lights in the night…

The flag, flapping in the wind behind the boat is getting you hypnotized. Flag. Water. Dark. Speed. Venice.
