When you’re in Paris and you miss fish and chips, meat pies and nice English speaking people, you’re lucky because you have the Eurostar. 2 hours and a half away and you already feel in an other world.
First, you take this subway where all the seats are lining up on both sides of the train. Not four by four, 2 huge rows. And you check out. And you walk through those Victorian style buildings to your hotel.
You walk, you turn left and… wow… what’s all that? why are those people gathered around waiting? Is there someone famous coming?
No, look, it’s Buckingham.
And so what? is the Queen coming?
Oh no, but it’s almost noon, it’s the changing of the guard! And since you’ve come this far, they won’t allow you to go back or forth before the end. So you just have to wait and listen to their music since the’re so many people you can’t see anything.
But hey, no worries, that’s part of the game when travelling. And the guards play some fun pieces of music like James Bond’s theme.
