Asian food is so good and so different from ours that if you get a chance you should go and get a cooking class.
This is the story of an amazing cooking class.
Why amazing?
First because you get to visit the market. The real one, not the one for tourists. Although, you’ll see some similarities : sellers talking together, some sleeping on their shops, other cutting their nails… In the market, you’ll have a guide, explaining to you every veggie, and how Lao people use the market usually (3 times a day, always at the same shops…)

Then, because this class took place almost outdoor. Not entirely outdoor for you don’t want to melt under the sun but with just a roof over your head and all the room you want to wander around and go back and forth while cooking.
At this class, you will learn how to use bamboo and banana tree leaves to cook food, you will learn how to cook in the most basic oven, you will learn how to cut lime so you wont spread it’s seeds while you squeeze it (useful!), you will learn how to stuff lemongrass and so on…

And you will discover that people taking cooking classes in a foreign country are usually people really open to other cultures and you can talk for hours about travelling experiences with them.
