Welcome to Singapore

First, you look out of your window while you’re landing : so many container ships waiting in the sea around the city. So that’s what the 2nd commercial port in the world’s surroundings look like.

Then, you get out of the plane, out of the airport and… you feel like you’re in a permanent sauna.

Here, you don’t event consider renting a car : private cars are much too expensive, even when you live here. So you go back to your old Parisians habits, those habits that where of no use in Hawaii or in New Zealand : you compare the different public transportation solutions : subway (MRT- Mass Rapid Transportation), buses, taxi, uber…

Each of them is useful and reliable so you can choose considering your needs : how many people are travelling ? do you need a special drop off ? But to be able to use those services, you’ll need to master the 3 letter codes : will you go to MBS (Marina Bay Sand,) or will you visit the oldest HDB area?

Anyway, whatever solution you choose, you’ll have to respect the numerous laws/restrictions of the country (no eating, no drinking, no spitting…) or the police will publicly shame you for your crime.

Here, you have to get used to read the rules if you don’t want to commit a crime.

Respect the rules
Respect the rules

And if you respect all that, you can enjoy a most interesting and colorful city.
